Canva, you say! Isn’t that for designing business cards, logos and social media images? Well, yes it is, but also so much more. I will be doing a variety of projects in the next few weeks, using Canva for at least one part of it. Yesterday I made a 3rd birthday card for our youngest granddaughter.
I started with a blank A4 document on Canva, and then did a search within Elements for ‘3’. The floral number and the pink balloons came up, and I copied/pasted/resized to make up the backing paper and the large embellishment. A search for ‘flower girl’ and then ‘Happy Birthday’ (within Text) completed what I needed – I just edited the text to include 3rd. This was printed out onto good quality paper with my Epson printer.
The backing paper and large number were trimmed to fit my card (a sheet of gold card scored and folded in half) and layered onto some of my favourite ‘Mermaid Ombre Glitter Card’ from Hobbycraft.
I could have used either my Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo to cut everything out more accurately, but for this card it was ok to just use scissors to trim down.
There you so. One quick and easy card. If anyone would like to have the project sheet sent to them, then just email me at email@example.com.
I enter this card into the following Challenges –
