Canva is a graphic design platform that allows users to create social media graphics, presentations, posters and other visual content. It is available on web and mobile, and integrates millions of images, fonts, templates and illustrations.
That is the official description of Canva, but in real life terms it can be used for so much. Create greeting cards on there, design a postcard, your own party invitations, colouring pages …..
Even a free account will give you access to a lot of features – 8000+ templates, 100+ design types and hundreds of thousands of free photos & graphics.
However, upgrade to Canva Pro (£10.99 per month or £107.88 annually), and then you also get access to a lot more templates/photos/graphics, one-click design resize, Brand Kit and you can upload your own fonts/logos. Try it free for 30 days. I did and have been using it for several years now.
I use Canva for so much of my designing – for my Etsy shop, website/blog and personal projects (including scrapbooking).
The tutorials on the Canva Design School are fantastic for learning the basics and taking it up several levels.
I will be adding blog posts regularly showing how I use Canva, but if you have any questions in the meantime then email me at email@example.com.
